|Manage Student Food Services Accounts Online!|
Dear Marlborough Public Schools parents and guardians,
The district is pleased to announce that we are partnering with SendMoneyToSchool.com to provide our families with the convenience of online food service account management.
Beginning immediately, parents and guardians can create an online account and link it to the food service information for each of their students. Using their SendMoneyToSchool.com account, parents and guardians can see their students’ balances and activities – current and past – as well as add money to their students’ food service accounts online using Visa, MasterCard or Discover credit cards and debit cards.
The online system is not mandatory; if preferable, students may continue to use cash or checks (but not credit/debit cards) at their cafeteria terminals.
The partnership with SendMoneyToSchool.com is in response to frequent requests from parents for a system that would enable them to check their students’ lunch accounts online, and to be able to add money to those accounts online as needed.
Attached are step-by-step instructions on how to set up a SendMoneyToSchool.com account, link it to your students’ cafeteria account(s), view current and past activities, balances and charges, and make a deposit.
To link to your child’s account, you will need the four- or five-digit PIN number your student keys into the cafeteria computer when going through the cafeteria food line at school (not his district student ID number). If you and your child have forgotten/lost this PIN number, please e-mail MPS Executive Director of Finance and Operations Michael Bergeron at email@example.com for assistance. For security purposes, you will need to include in the e-mail your student’s name, school and grade, date of birth, and a phone number where you can be reached. Someone from the business office will call you with your student’s cafeteria PIN number. For security purposes, these numbers cannot be e-mailed back to parents.
As noted in the “Making a Deposit” section of the instructions, SendMoneyToSchool will assess a $2 handling fee per transaction, which covers the cost of administering the online system and providing this often-requested convenience to our families. Marlborough Public Schools does not benefit from this fee.
The SendMoneyToSchool.com online payment system can only be used for food services. Parents and guardians are welcome to create their SendMoneyToSchool.com accounts now, before the start of school.
